Vancouver’s West End

2024

This project explores the parallels between the social lives in and around the residential buildings of Coal Harbour and the West End. While the new Coal Harbour apartments feature minimal cookie-cutter dwellings, with many sitting empty, the eclectic and diverse character of homes in the West End is a testament to the rich history of these aging buildings. Through a series of sections and elevations that reflect the experience of being in these communities, we expose the significant contrast between these two neighborhoods.
